Getting ready for Black Friday and Cyber Monday?

The Tampa JCCs & Federation invites you to add #GivingTuesday to your calendar this year, on Tuesday December 2.

Held each year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many people focus on their end-of-the-year giving.

The annual phone-a-thon will take place during two late afternoon/evening shifts:

4:30 - 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

at the Shanna & Bryan Glazer JCC, 522 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa.

This once-a-year fundraising drive to benefit the 2026 Annual Campaign, welcomes volunteers to help make phone calls to donors as well as assist with donor research and general event administration. No experience is necessary and training is provided. Refreshments will be served. Participants can compete for exciting door prizes, which will be awarded frequently throughout both shifts.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO GIVE?

Your gift, combined with Federation’s incredible global network of philanthropy, demonstrates a limitless power of community. Together we have the ability to make lives better - this is our legacy and it reflects who we are. Your gift now, regardless of the size, will do so much good by:

  • Feeding the poor in overseas Jewish communities, and providing them with the basic necessities like adequate housing and critical services like urgent medical care.
  • Providing relief to victims of global terror, including medical care, emergency shelter and emotional and financial support.
  • Funding our local agencies
  • JCC Preschools and camp programs, Hillel Academy Jewish Day School, Tampa Jewish Family Services, Hillels on several college campuses, and the list goes on.
  • 70% of all funds raised remain here in Tampa, while 30% is distributed to overseas causes, including Israel.
