During the month of December, the community has the opportunity to learn about and celebrate the traditions and history of Jews from Spain and the Middle East – also known as Sephardic. A three-part lecture series presents on Wednesdays, December 3, 10, and 17. Professor George Zucker will lecture on the Jews of Spain from before the Spanish Inquisition through the mid-20th century. The lectures begin at 11:00, and run through 2:00, with a lunch intermission. The lunch, provided by Weinberg Kosher Catering offers participants delicious, Sephardic dishes. The charge for the lecture series, including lunches is $25 for JCC members, $30 for non-members. Please reserve a spot by November 27.
