Come feast upon delicious renditions of modern Israeli as well as classic Jewish dishes expertly prepared by local Super Star chef Kevin Kruszewski of Pane Rustica.
Your taste buds will soar with Kevin’s interpretation of our ethnic food traditions. Each dish has been elegantly curated by Israeli food writer, editor and cook book author Janna Gur. Janna was born and raised in the former Soviet Union and now lives in Tel Aviv. She is the founder and editor of the leading Israeli food and wine magazine and has written several books including “Jewish Soul Food” and “The Book of New Israeli Food.”
Janna will be a guest speaker and talk about each of the recipes, its origin and history and also do a Q&A moderated by Jayne Cohen. Jayne lives in NYC and writes and lectures extensively on Jewish cuisine and culture. Her most recent book, “Jewish Holiday Cooking,” was named a finalist for a James Beard Foundation award in the International Cookbook Category.
Kevin is excited to lend his name and talents to this prestigious event. It will be a night exploding with fun and flavor. Come meet Jayne Cohen and Janna Gur, the “Julia Child” of Israeli cooking and share in the joy of preserving our Jewish food traditions “from generation to generation.”
