Tamar Biala, a veteran Israeli educator, religious feminist and emerging voice in Jewish Studies,
is a Scholar-in-Residence at Brandeis University whose research focuses on Midrashim
written by women. Tamar co-edited Dirshuni, the first ever collection of Midrashim written by
contemporary Israeli women, adding a female perspective to classical Midrashim.
