Frequently Asked Questions

When I make a contribution to the Tampa JCCs & Federation’s Professional Societies, what does the money support?

Your gift supports the Annual Campaign of the Tampa JCCs & Federation.

Each year, our Federation raises and allocates millions of dollars to fund local partner agencies, services and schools in our community and nationwide, as well as a network of organizations that support vital programs in Israel and around the globe.

Do I need to make this contribution every year or do I give it one time?

In order to maintain your membership in the Professional Societies, you would need to continue making an annual gift to the Tampa JCCs & Federation.

Can my spouse and I make the $100, $365 or $1000 contribution together and both be in the Societies?

Each individual in a household would need to make a donation to the Tampa JCCs & Federation in order to be a member of the Professional Societies. If only one person is making the gift, you are welcome to bring your spouse to one of at least three programs that will be open to the community for a small, extra fee.

My industry is not listed as part of the Professional Societies. How can I join?

You’re still welcome to join the Professional Societies no matter what your field or industry may be. And we'll be sure to help you feel included in everything we do!

The Tampa JCCs & Federation plans to expand industries in the future as the demand grows to add additional industries.

How do I get involved with the mentorship program?

Set to launch in Spring 2026, the Professional Societies Mentorship program will pair seasoned professionals with emerging professional leaders in their respective fields.

If you are member of the Professional Societies, you can sign up to be a mentor or a mentee. We will launch application process in the very near future.

Are you automatically a member if you give at a certain level (even if you do not have a professional degree or no longer work as a professional)?

Please Contact Sarah Weiner to verify you’re a member of the Professional Societies. She can be reached at sarah.weiner@jewishtampa.com or 813-769-4738.

You do not need to have a professional degree nor do you need to be currently working as a professional to be a member of the Professional Societies.

How do I get my continuing education credits?

Credit information will be shared at the conclusion of each program when credits are available.

What happened to the Professional Community Connection (PCC) program the Federation offered?

The Professional Community Connection initiative is now incorporated into an expanded version of the Tampa JCCs & Federation’s Professional Societies program.

The Professional Societies Program will offer enhanced benefits and a series of dynamic new offerings, events and experiences designed to foster deeper connections and provide access to a powerful network of community leaders, mentors and peers.

This shift allows us to pour more resources and focus into one united program and offers more targeted networking, mentorship and community-building experiences – tailored to our community’s interests.

This renewed focus also provides even more opportunity for the Jewish business community to engage philanthropically, support and invest in the vital work of the Tampa JCCs & Federation to care for people in need and strengthen the community here in Tampa, Israel and around the world.
