JEWISH GEOGRAPHY

JOIN IN ON JEWISH GEOGRAPHY AT THE JCC ON THE COHN CAMPUS

Tampa, FL (August 22, 2022) – Have you enjoyed playing Jewish geography? For those unfamiliar with the term, the “game” is the act of seeking a connection to a new acquaintance who is Jewish. It seems like we all have some common links from our past.

On Tuesday, November 1 at 6:00 PM, join the Tampa JCCs & Federation and USF Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the JCC on the Cohn Campus, 13009 Community Campus Drive, Tampa, for a multi-sensory experience as we “armchair” travel to Eastern Europe. Hear first-hand tales of life in the “old country,” learn about family treasures and legacies on which legends are built and enjoy tastes straight out of an old world bubbe’s kitchen.

Tickets for members of the JCC or OLLI are $15 and for guests are $20. Dinner is included.

Rabbi Emeritus Richard Birnholz of Congregation Schaarai Zedek will be our travel guide, emceeing the event. Guest presenters include University of South Florida Professor Kees Boterbloem, along with Ilya Cherkasskiy, a local resident who hails from Ukraine. Artifacts from the region will be on display.

The Tampa JCCs & Federation would like to recognize Tito’s Handmade Vodka for its generous support.

Reservations are required as seating is limited. Visit JCCCohnCampus.com/ActiveAdults
or call Pnina Levermore at 813.291.2253 to register.
