Cultures don’t just coexist — they connect, evolve and tell stories together.

The Latin & Jewish Community Collaborative, an initiative of the Tampa JCCs & Federation, was created to celebrate those connections and spark new ones. Rooted in a shared history of resilience, migration and rich cultural traditions, this initiative brings together two vibrant communities to build understanding, deepen relationships and create something meaningful — together.

Tampa is home to a dynamic Jewish community that reflects a beautiful blend of global roots. Many families trace their journeys through Latin America and the Caribbean — from Argentina, Brazil and Honduras to Mexico, Venezuela and beyond  — bringing with them traditions, flavors, languages and stories that enrich the fabric of Jewish life here.

The Collaborative builds on this unique cultural intersection, creating opportunities to come together around shared values: celebrating heritage, expanding economic opportunity and standing united against discrimination and antisemitism. But more than that, it’s about people - meeting, listening, laughing and discovering common ground in unexpected ways.
