The JCC on the Cohn Campus will host a 9/11 Commemoration from 12:00pm-2:00pm on September 11, 2016. The event, located inside the auditorium, will include food, speakers and a raffle. Cost of lunch is $5 per person. Proceeds will be donated to the Post 9/11 Veterans Organization.
Sickles High School Air Force High School Air Force JROTC will present the flag at 12:00pm followed by local teen artist, Briana Miele, singing the Star Spangled Banner.
The Post 9/11 Veterans Organization President, John Robinson, will speak on his 9/11 experience and his efforts to engage the community to support Tampa’s veteran's.
Our local Community Outreach Officer, Deputy Ashley Lindeman, from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office District 3 will also speak.
Preschool students from The JCC on the Cohn Campus will close the ceremony with a special song, which will then be followed by lunch and silent raffle.
The JCC on the Cohn Campus will also be giving a free 2 week membership to community members who donate a care package. Two types of care packages will be accepted, one for returning veterans and one to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office District 3 officers.
