The JeTSetters Program for Independent Seniors
Starts its Third Year
JeTSetters, now in its 3rd year, is a social program designed for independent seniors ages 65 and older to get together for socializing and learning. The program is offered at no cost to participants. Transportation may be provided for this program.
The program, which is sponsored by the Tampa Jewish Community Center and Tampa Jewish Family Services, is offered twice a month on Thursdays from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm and will start on January 14, 2010. An assortment of activities are offered; including guest speakers, current event presentations, cultural and spiritual events, art classes, card games, computer lessons in our new computer lab and a free lunch. Seniors must make a reservation in advance to attend this program. The program is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition to the JeTSetters program, the Tampa JCC will continue to offer additional seniors programs, including Senior Network Day, a monthly program for seniors of all ages that occurs the first Monday of every month, senior trips, and the Silver Sneakers fitness program which will offer an blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyle and socially oriented programming for older adults. This year-long program and new computer lab has been made possible by a generous grant from the Verizon Foundation.
